She called Camen into her room. Camen looked like she was about to cry, but she knew she was trying her best to hold them back. She asked Camen a few questions. Camen was momentarily calm. Camen opened her mouth to speak, and she did.
Camen spoke words that she didn't imagine she, herself would say. She was shocked at herself, those words came out of her dry, cracked lips easily and speedily. Nobody prompted her to say them. Nobody told her to. But they came out, just like that ... She didn't even take a second to think of what she was about to say.
The woman who called Camen into her room nodded. She replied. She bought it. She believed it, when Camen, the one who said them, couldn't believe it herself; couldn't believe that she could be this fraudulent. Camen was speechless after that. Nodding through the entire lecture she received.
The woman believed Camen. What she wouldn't believe was,
Camen lied.
What she wouldn't believe more,
was that Camen lied that easily.
